A+ Schools is "Pittsburgh’s Community Alliance for Public Education." They advocate for educational equity and excellence in the public school system through educating the public, increasing awareness, and engaging the community in efforts to advance change. The Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation mission is "to improve the quality of life for all in Garfield and surrounding neighborhoods through active community engagement." Together, they will host a meeting on Tuesday, July 25th where A+ will present their "Report to the Community."

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) June Layout Workshops: Coming to a Neighborhood Near You

Port Authority of Allegheny County has announced five Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Layout Workshops in June. They'll be held for the neighborhoods of Oakland (2 dates), Uptown, Greenfield/Squirrel Hill, and Downtown starting today. The stated purpose of these meetings is to give updates on the status of BRT planning, answer questions about the planning process, and collect input on station placement and street design.
