On Wednesday, April 19th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., WTAE Channel 4 will air a live debate between candidates in the Democratic primary race for mayor of Pittsburgh. WTAE has partnered with the League of Women Voters to present this commercial-free program. Participating candidates will be Mayor Bill Peduto, City Councilwoman Darlene Harris, and Rev. John Welch.

The debate moderator will be Chronicle host Sally Wiggin. Panelists include Bob Mayo, Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter; Elaine Effort, KQV-AM radio reporter; Brianna Horan of The League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh (LWVGP); and Chris Potter, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette political reporter.

The live debate will be simulcast on thisTV Pittsburgh and streamed live on WTAE.com and the WTAE app. WTAE Channel 4 will rebroadcast the debate on Saturday, April 22nd at 5:00 p.m.

While supporters will not be allowed inside, you can show up outside the studio to display your support. (Signs are encouraged!) Supporters can assemble at 6:30 p.m. at WTAE, 400 Ardmore Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15221 to cheer our Mayor on!
