Back in August, the Pittsburgh Police and Chief of Police Cameron McLay started holding a series of town hall meetings in each of the city’s six police zones. At these events, attendees have the opportunity to meet their Public Safety Zone Council Leadership and have the chance to ask their most pressing questions in a Q&A session.

Public Safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler commented about the town halls in the Tribune-Review, “Chief McLay thought it was a good idea to arrange community meetings throughout the zones, so he would have the opportunity to discuss crime concerns of residents. Then zone commanders can tell residents exactly what’s going on to address those concerns.”

During the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Share Public Safety Concerns
  • Review Crime Statistics
  • Provide Feedback on Community-Police Relations
  • Tell the Police How They Can Best Serve the Community

The Zone 1 meeting will take place at Manchester Citizens Corporation.
