Failure:Labs have been conducted across the country. At them, you’ll find storytellers and entertainers recounting their most memorable brush with failure. During and between the performances at the Pittsburgh event Friday evening at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, audience members are encouraged to participate by sharing their own thoughts on Twitter using the hashtag #FLPGH.

What can you expect from this unique event? Here’s how Fortune Magazine described them:

Failure: Lab’s stories of screw ups and setbacks are unvarnished and do not offer a resounding conclusion packed with lessons learned or comebacks staged. Many of the tales focus on childhood memories of being labeled ugly or feeling fat and awkward or unloved, of divorce and teen pregnancy from small rural towns in Michigan and from the streets of Detroit or Chicago.

Failure:Lab | Pittsburgh will feature stories by Pittsburgh’s own Mayor Bill Peduto; Emmy Award winning television personality Darieth Chisolm; award winning chef Kevin Sousa; and singer, songwriter and actress Holly Joy Gaines.

Additionally, there will be performances by bombyx collective, Adam Brock, Jasmine Tate, D.S. Kinsel, I Medina, and Byron Nash.
