There are many in our community that are in need–and it’s felt the hardest during the holiday season. You can help families in the Pittsburgh area by accepting Charlie Batch’s challenge and help him stuff a giant, inflatable present with new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages on Tuesday, December 1st. Charlie and his elves will be on site at the US Steel Building for the 10th Annual Batch A Toys! The goal this year is to collect 5,000 toys.

The Best of The Batch works with a number of partner, non-profit organizations serving families in Allegheny County. Since the program’s inception, they have distributed more than 30,000 toys to children, helped more than 1,000 families and last year, collected more than 5,000 toys. Additionally, Best of the Batch also provides household items–including dishes, towels, pots & pans, laundry baskets, and other family items–so, there is something for everyone! Then, Charlie and Latasha personally deliver the toys and household items to children and families at the Women’s Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Children’s Hospital, and to financially challenged families in Allegheny County.

Answer Batch’s challenge by meeting him Downtown with a new, unwrapped toy for a child in our community!

But, if you can’t make it on Tuesday, there are numerous places listed here where you can drop off your donated toys.
