Neighborhood Allies has extended the deadline to apply for full scholarships to the 5th Annual Community Development Summit until tomorrow, Friday, April 10th. The summit will take place on Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. This year’s theme is “Physical Places and Social Spaces.” The keynote speakers are President and CEO of the Center for Community Progress Tamar Shapiro and Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners Paul Farmer. The event will feature sessions and workshops that “highlight cross-sector and regional collaboration in community planning, land recycling, affordable housing, transit-oriented development, and neighborhood revitalization.” The summit is hosted by PCRG in collaboration with the Urban Land Institute – Pittsburgh District Council.
