The biggest karaoke event of the year is all for a good cause. Come out on Friday, November 1st for the Second Annual Live Rock N’ Roll Karaoke Costume Party: Day of the Dead Edition! All the proceeds from this evening will directly benefit Jamie & Ali McMutrie’s Haitian Families First. HFF supports families and children in Haiti by giving them access to education, healthcare, and nutritional needs — guiding them toward self-sufficiency. The event will be hosted by Randy Baumann of the DVE Morning Show and there’ll be a celebrity karaoke competition featuring Mikey & Big Bob of the 96.1 Morning Freak Show, Sally Wiggin of WTAE, and our own Democratic Mayoral Candidate Bill Peduto!

There are three ways you can participate in the fun (and the giving):

1. PARTY!

Buy a ticket to the party here and enjoy the show! ($20 in advance; $25 at the door; 21+ only). There’ll be restaurant gift cards given away, raffle tickets sold for a chance to win pair of tickets to the November 18th Pittsburgh Penguins home game vs. the Anaheim Ducks, a prize package from The Scarehouse awarded for best costume and much, much more.

and

2. SING!

Guests have the opportunity to sign up to sing karaoke with a LIVE BAND! Slots are available on a first come first served basis. Want to jump the line and secure your spot? A $25 donation gets you next in line. Check out the song list here.

and/or

3. VOTE WITH YOUR FUNDS!

The celebrity guests will be pitted against each other for the chance to sing with the band! Whichever contender receives the most donation dollars by 11:30pm on November 1st will be chosen forced to sing a song of HFF’s choosing! Make a donation at haitianfamiliesfirst.org/give and let them know who you want to see sing. Make sure to note ‘Mikey & Bob’, ‘Sally’ or ‘Bill’ where it says ‘Add a Message Here.’

It’s a dollar per vote, folks, so this is one election you can definitely buy! The winner’s performance will be recorded and posted on the Haitian Families First YouTube page the day after the event. And, wouldn’t we all want to see a certain City Councilman’s performance plastered all over Facebook the next day? So, go ‘vote’ for Bill before you actually vote for Bill and help raise some funds for a great cause in the process!
