While President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law back on March 23, 2010, people still have questions about the statute which is aimed at insuring millions of Americans who are not now covered and reforming the insurance system for all.

Despite all the talk of the politics surrounding the Affordable Care Act, a recent survey shows that only 15% even know that the exchanges will launch next week as part of a six-month sign-up period. Open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act will start on Tuesday, October 1st. On that day you can attend an event that will inform you about how the new policy will affect you and how it will provide Pennsylvanians with health insurance coverage.

The Consumer Health Coalition, Enroll America, SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania, The Hill District Consensus Group and PA Health Access Network are hosting an Open Enrollment Training at the Hill House Association Kaufman Auditorium. This event is free and all are welcome to attend. Please RSVP to Beverly Turnstalle by calling 412-456-1877, ext. 201.
