Can’t make it to The Big Easy for Mardi Gras? You can still celebrate in ‘Nawlins style right here! There will be a New Orleans Style Mardi Gras Party and Fundraiser for Bill Peduto for Mayor at James Simon’s sculpture studio in Uptown on Tuesday, February 12th. Enjoy gumbo, bread, and cocktails while delighting to the entertainment which will include:

  • The virtuoso playing of international jazz pianist Tom Roberts
  • Readings by two Louisiana natives: Sheryl St. Germain, author of “Swamp Songs: The Making of an UnrulyWoman” and Jessica Kinnison, MFA candidate Chatham University
  • A short reading performance from “A Street Car Named Desire” featuring Tamie Dixon
  • A New Orleans style line/step dance by The August Wilson Dance Ensemble
