Come out to the Kelly Strayhorn Theater this Saturday for an evening of dance, illusion and film to benefit autism. Join Bill Peduto and city council candidate, Dan Gilman, as they share MC duties for An Evening of Arts for Autism — the proceeds of which will go to the Joey Travolta Film Camp. Joey Travolta runs practical film workshops for adults and children with developmental disabilities. The camp is inclusive and was specifically designed to “address social, communication, executive function, transition and vocational goals” and offers participants the chance to work alongside industry professionals.

Performances for the evening will include:

  • Composer and classical pianist Dima Harmon
  • Vocalist Tania Grubbs
  • Performer, teacher and choreographer Gwen Ritchie
  • Illusionist and magician ‘Magicman’ TJ Hill

In addition to a cocktail reception and silent auction, guests will also experience the first ever public screening of the short films made during Pittsburgh’s 2012 Joey Travolta Film Camp which took place at the Wilkins School Community Center in Swissvale.
