Future Tenant was founded ten years ago to provide valuable experience for artists, art managers and art patrons to explore creativity in performances and exhibitions. This non-profit organization is a joint project of of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, CMU’s College of Fine Arts, and the Master of Arts Management program at CMU’s Heinz College. Their ongoing programs include Pittsburgh’s first and only open mic and easel night, a guest curator series, the Trespass Performance Residency, gallery crawls, group shows and site-specific installations.

On Friday, March 30th, Future Tenant will celebrate it’s 10th birthday party with a fundraiser. The evening will include:

  • An art auction with works by local and national artists
  • A preview of new artworks by CMU’s 1st & 2nd year MFA students’ spring show “Extra Fancy”
  • Live princesses
  • Balloon bending
  • A bouncy castle and airbrush tattoos, courtesy of Mike the Balloon Guy
  • Local band Lungs Face Feet
  • DJ SoulStrings and VJ Nox
  • Delicious treats from Quiet Storm and Market District Giant Eagle
  • Non-alcoholic drinks supplied by Fuze
  • Adult beverages by Straub Beer and Wood Chuck Hard Cider at an open bar
  • Birthday cake!
